58.18 hectare land sought for free of cost for the expansion of Bikaner Civil Airport

Local business organizations, industry associations launched a campaign

Bikaner, (Samachar Seva). Local business organizations and various industry associations have started a campaign for the expansion of Bikaner’s civil airport. These organizations have demanded from the Ashok Gehlot government of the state that 58.18 hectares of land located near the airport should be made available free of cost to the airport authority for the expansion of the civil airport of Bikaner.

The argument of these organizations is that the state government has given land free of cost for the expansion of Kota’s civil airport, then free land should also be given for the expansion of Bikaner airport. According to local business organizations, gas pipeline has also been approved in Bikaner. With this, there is a lot of scope for big companies to invest in Bikaner too.

The allocation of Gajner industrial area has also started. Many such new resorts have also been built in Bikaner, which are retaining the ability to attract people from other states for their marriage ceremony. Many such historical places are also the main center of attraction for tourists in Bikaner.

According to the representatives of local business organizations, connectivity to these metros will also become easier for businessmen, entrepreneurs and Bhamashahs to come to Bikaner from metros for the purpose of investing in Bikaner, for the work of social concern and to meet their families. With the expansion of the air service of Bhamashah, many big projects of public interest will come in Bikaner.

According to these organizations, in view of the present arrangements, there is a dire need of air services from Bikaner to metros like Kolkata, Guwahati, Bangalore and Mumbai etc. People associated with the industrial and commercial areas of Bikaner division have to come and go to Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati and Bangalore in connection with their business.

At present, the citizens of Bikaner division have to go to Jaipur and Jodhpur to travel to these metros. This causes unnecessary wastage of time and money. Local business and industry associations have sent a letter in this regard to all the MLAs of Bikaner district through e-mail to get free land from the state government for the expansion of Bikaner’s air services.

It was told in this letter that at present free land has been provided to Kota by the State Government for airport expansion. Bikaner also requires 58.18 hectares of land adjoining the airport to connect the metropolitan cities through air services. The public representatives of Bikaner should be recommended to make it available free of cost from the state government.

Bikaner District Industries Association President Dwarkaprasad Pachisia, Rajasthan Woolen Industries Association President Kamal Kalla, Beechwal Industries Association President Prashant Kansal, Disputes and Grievance Redressal Committee member Ramesh Aggarwal, Karni Industrial Area President Mahesh Kothari, Bikaner Business Industry Board Patron Council President Anantveer Jain, Khara Growth Center Industry Association President Parvinder Singh Shekhawat, Executive Chairman of Passenger Service Committee Naresh Mittal, Napasar Industries Association President Kishanlal Mohta and Nokha Industries Association President Anil Jain are united day and night in the campaign for air service expansion.

Cabinet Minister Dr. B.D. Kalla, State Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati, MLA Siddhi Kumari, MLA Sumit Godara, MLA Biharilal Vishnoi, MLA Girdhari Lal Mahiya, MLA Govind Ram Meghwal have been requested for full help in the campaign.

According to these organizations, due to air connectivity from the metros, the name of Bikaner will also be included in the map of the country and this will give a boost to industry, trade, tourism of the entire division.
